The continuation of the collector’s collection of CULT BUSES OF THE PAST ERA ( KULTOVNÍ AUTOBUSY MINULÉ ÉRY ) introduced us to the relatively unknown model of the TATRA T500 HB bus, which was from the beginning oriented towards mountain bus lines. In an environment where TATRA has long-term experience with a demanding degree of descent or ascent. To some extent, the T 500 can be considered an off-road two-axle off-road bus. Another interesting feature is the design of the bus body itself, in which the company SODOMKA participated, known primarily for the production and design of luxury and non-traditional bodies for wealthy car owners around the world. Despite its minor shortcomings, the all-terrain bus model eventually found its customers all over the world, and Czechoslovak designers once again proved to the world that they are the top engineers even without inflated advertisements.
Pokračovanie zberateľskej kolekcie KULTOVNÍ AUTOBUSY MINULÉ ÉRY nás zaviedlo k pomerne neznámemu modelu autobusu TATRA T500 HB ktorá bola od počiatku orientovaná pre horské autobusové linky. Do prostredia kde ma TATRA dlhodobé skúsenosti s náročným stupňom klesania alebo stúpania. Do istej miery je možné model T 500 považovať za terénny autobus s náhonom na dve zadné nápravy. Ďalšou zaujímavosťou je i dizajn samotnej karosérie autobusu, na ktorom sa podieľala firma SODOMKA, známa predovšetkým výrobou a návrhom luxusných a netradičných karosérii pre zámožných majiteľov automobilov po celom svete. I skrz svoje drobné nedostatky si nakoniec model terénneho autobusu našiel po celom svete svojich zákazníkov a Československý konštruktéri tak opäť svetu dokázali, že sú inžinierskou špičkou i bez nafúknutých reklám.

We have to admit that for us TATRA Bus was one big unknown, even though here and there we met with a photo or a short mention in magazines or on the Internet. Therefore, we consider it a big plus that DeAGOSTINI described in detail the development and history of this car in the attached magazine. Thanks to the photos, we were able to study the design of the model in 1/72 scale in detail and get acquainted with it and compare the details and the overall design with the model. At first glance, we would welcome more pronounced body parts, which were sometimes lost under a well-applied paint. An exception is the rear bonnet, which is perfectly distinctive. Graphically highlighted details such as the edges around the fenders are a bit inaccurately seated by the manufacturer, but this does not change the fact that the overall impression of the bus is more than positive.
Musíme sa priznať, že pre nás bol TATRA Bus jednou veľkou neznámou i keď sem tam sme sa stretli s fotografiou či krátkou zmienkou v časopisoch alebo na internete. Preto považujeme za veľké plus, že DeAGOSTINI podrobne popísalo vývoj a históriu tohto automobilu v priloženom časopise. Vďaka fotografiám sme mohli podrobne preštudovať návrh modelu v mierke 1/72 a bližšie sa s ním oboznámiť a porovnať detaily a celkový návrh s modelom. Na prvý pohľad by sme uvítali výraznejšie navrhnuté časti karosérie, ktoré sa miestami strácali pod dobre naneseným lakom. Výnimku tvorí zadná kapota motoru, ktorá je dokonale výrazná. Graficky zvýraznené detaily ako napríklad lemy okolo blatníkov troška výrobca usadil nepresne, ale to nemení nič na veci, že celkový dojem z autobusu je viac ako pozitívny.
We would also recommend reworking small inserts, especially rear-view mirrors. On the contrary, there is nothing to complain about the bumpers and their exact seating. We will say the same about solid steel discs with a lot of perfectly captured details. Of course, DeAGOSTINI did not forget about the good depiction of the tread patterns on the tires, which, however, came to us a bit narrow. Of course, we won’t forget the chassis either, but unfortunately the price for the delivered music was shown here again. Simply put, the manufacturer designed the frame construction of the chassis and some significant parts of the chassis, such as the exhaust, but with more details, he no longer bothered.
Drobné vkladané diely, predovšetkým spätné zrkadlá by sme tiež odporučili viac prepracovať. Naopak nárazníkom a ich presnému usadeniu niet čo vytknúť. To isté povieme o masívnych oceľových diskoch s množstvom dokonale zachytených detailov. Samozrejme DeAGOSTINI nezabudlo ani na dobré vyobrazenie dezénov na pneumatikách ktoré nám však prišli troška úzke. Samozrejme ani podvozok neopomenieme, ale bohužiaľ tu sa opäť ukázala cena za dodanú hudbu. Jednoducho povedané výrobca navrhol rámovú konštrukciu podvozku a niektoré výrazné časti podvozku ako napríklad výfuk, no s viac detailmi sa už neobťažoval.
